FLSZ Rule
Words following the Floss rule – double f, l, s, or z after a short vowel, like miss, bell, and buzz.
How to teach this
After a short vowel at the end of a one-syllable word, double the f, l, s, or z. Teach your child the shortcut: 'Floss needs two after a short vowel.'
